Have you been playing your ps3 and when suddenly it won’t turn on, and you see a blinking red light when you attempt to turn it on, well my friend your ps3 just got the red light of death. Most gamers at this point got panic and angry because they thought that their ps3 is dead and then straight away give Sony a call, to get their PS3 repair and the worst part is you pay Sony $150 so they can repair the ps3 and you have to wait nearly a month for Sony to repair your console. So then you can continue to play your favorite games.

Have your tried the following methods? Most games tried it and they got rid of the blinking red light .

1- Turn the console off by holding the power button on for 5-10 seconds

2- turn off the ps3 from the back once on standby mode.

3- keep pressing your finger on the power button till you hear 3 beeps.

4- do hard-reset. This should restart your ps3 and then load up with no problems.

If the methods above didnt work then try removing your ps3 hard disk drive, then boot up and try to start it, if the ps3 is back to normal and you can play games again then the problem with your console that cause the blinking red light was your hard disk drive it need to be replaced with new one.
