The Many Varieties of Silk Trees
/>
It is amazing to some how many types of silk trees actually exist. The most well-known silk tree is the pine tree (Christmas tree). Some of the less renowned trees may be perfect for your needs, but you didnÂ’t know they exist. One of these is the banana tree. These trees have very thick, long leaves and look almost like a palm tree. Another is the bonsai tree, which has very small, almost pine-like features. These trees are obtainable in many different arrangements and designs. Silk grasses, like cattail or bear grass, are unique and rarely used but very interesting decorative pieces. When it comes to designing with silk varieties, keep all your options available and you will soon find the perfect tree for your decorative needs.
Green Décor
A critical step to beautifying your home is creating a desirable atmosphere. This atmosphere is created by using a good blend of colors, styles, textures, and furniture pieces. In a room with earthy colors—a very trendy look nowadays—greenery helps the room breathe and feel fresh. When adding greenery, make sure you know the size and positions of the areas you will utilize so that you choose pieces with complementary shapes and styles. Vertically, you will want one to two feet of space between the ceiling and the top of the tree. Adequate space for the branches of the tree keeps your room from looking too cramped or too empty. Some shorter trees, like the bonsai tree, are great choices for tabletop decorations. Hanging plants add greenery to places that otherwise may look too bare, such as the corners of your ceiling. If it is in a basement or an area without sunlight, there are many varieties of silk or artificial plants to choose from, and it is surprising how lifelike they can appear.
Making Centerpieces for Your Home
If you would like to add some flowers to your home, consider creating a floral arrangement for a centerpiece. Centerpieces are usually placed on the dining room table, coffee table, or other prominent area in your home. Hopefully your centerpiece will not only draw attention, it will incorporate elements already in place in your house. If you arrange your centerpiece carefully, you can create a piece that is well-balanced and causes your audience to take in the whole creation. The x-shaped pattern uses long, thin flowers and grasses to make the viewerÂ’s eye zigzag until he or she has taken in the whole piece. Another great design to incorporate is an arch. The arch can be accomplished by using a variety of flowers, grass, or other shrubbery forming a dome-like shape, with flowers weaving through it. If you would like to find out more about centerpiece designs, there are many pictures available on the internet; home decoration magazines also have great ideas.
Designing a Silk Wedding Bouquet
Silk flowers are great for wedding bouquets. Most silk flowers are incredibly realistic and should look beautiful at the wedding. The traditionally romantic flower is the rose, and as you look at bouquet designs, you will find that most incorporate at least some roses. Your bouquet doesnÂ’t have to be radically different to look stunning. A rounded shape, with appropriately colored flowers enhanced with leaves is always a beautiful look. If you are looking for something less traditional, you can change the species of flowers, use a few topiary elements, or change the overall design of the bouquet. The bride, of course, should be presented with a bouquet that she will adore. Yet another benefit to silk bouquets is they can be designed and assembled early, which allows you to get the brideÂ’s approval.
